So, I know it has been three months, but let me explain... I lost my camera about a month after Sadie was born and I found it the day before her blessing. (Actually Justin found it, but that is not the point). Luckily it was found in time for her blessing and we were able to get some cute pictures! Since Sadie's blessing I have pretty much been living in Thatcher because Nate has had to work out of town so much so I haven't had time to blog. And now, in the few minutes I have while Sadie is asleep, I don't have time to totally catch everyone up on whats been happening in the Sorensen family over the past few months. So, here's the reader's digest version...
In the past three months I have changed about 600 diapers, had about six hours of sleep, and watched a lot of tv while feeding a cute little girl! Even though it has been hard adjusting to motherhood I really enjoy it. Isn't that weird? Who would ever think that it would be fun to never sleep again? I just love having Sadie in our home and I love taking care of her. It is also nice to have so much help. First of all, Nate is the best dad in the world. Really. He helps me so much at night even though he has to get to work at eight every day. He is a diaper changing champ and it is so cute to watch him with Sadie. I love to hear all the new songs he makes up every day. They all usually have something to do with the word loin-fruit. You would be surprised how many things rhyme with that! We have also had a lot of help from Sadie's grandparents! Grandma Bettie loves coming to Mesa for the weekend so that she can take over night duty with Sadie. And Grandma Becky has been so nice to let me and Sadie stay with her so much while Nate is out of town. It is so fun to see my mom with my daughter. I never knew how cool and weird that would be. Oh, how could I forget... I got to see my best friend Brad Paisley again! We went to his concert on Oct. 1 here in Phoenix. Get this... we had the exact same front-row seats we had in Vegas two years ago! Ashlee and Jessica went with us and we got all dressed up in our boots! (Don't worry, Nate did not join the boot-wearing club.) The concert was amazing! Dierks Bentley was with him and he had a little crush on Jessica. He kept singing to her and he even let her sing "Free and easy down the road I go" into his microphone! It was such a fun night with Nate and his "ladies." So anyway, that's what we've been up to in a nutshell. Here are some pictures from the last few months. Enjoy:)

Baby Sadie has arrived!
She's here! Sadie Rebecca Sorensen was born on August 5 at 1:00pm. She weighed 9 lbs and 2 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. I went to the dr the week before and when they saw how big she was they decided that c-section would be best. My blood pressure was also getting high so it was decided that the c-section would be done at 37 weeks. I was very happy to get her out, but I was scared about the c-section because I had never had surgery before. Everything turned out fine, although Sadie had to stay in the NICU for a week for a few things. Because of my diabetes, she had really low blood sugar when she was born and they had to hook her up to an IV giving her glucose for about 5 days. She was also having trouble opening her lungs so she had to wear a CPAP to pump air in her lungs. She looked like she was going to go scuba diving! Nate called it her super hero mask:) Her sugars were finally getting regulated and it looked like we were going to get to take her home, but then she got jaundice so she had to stay a few more days with a billi blanket. (We called that her "space suit") It was really hard having to come home without her for a few nights, but I guess it was good that I got to get some sleep because she is quite a night owl! We brought her home last night and I don't think she slept one minute, but I was just glad to get to hold her without all the cords and tubes coming out of her. We are just so glad to have her in our family and I am so thankful that she is out of the hospital! Here are some pictures of our week at Banner Desert...
Here we are just before going to the hospital.
I may be smiling, but I was really scared!
Here she is getting weighed. Just look at those cheeks!
Here's Nate doing his "I'm a dad" dance:)
Sadie and her scuba gear!
The first time I got to hold her. It was definitely love at first sight.
Proud Papa!
The nurses at the NICU made her this cute sign. They also made her a cute scrap book page with her foot prints on it.

She finally opened her eyes!
She had to wear these shades over her eyes to protect them from the lights on the billi blanket, so her nurse drew these cute eyelashes on them for her!
Yay we finally get to leave! Here she is in her new outfit and her new car seat!
When we got home last night uncle Justin and aunt Aubry came to visit.
Grandma B came to stay with us for a few days! Today she gave Sadie her first bath.
Taking a nap with dad
Aunt Jessica came to see us today! Sadie was so glad to see her, she fell asleep!
Sorry about all the pictures! I just can't stop taking them:)

Super Long Update!
I finally found all the parts I needed to get my pictures uploaded to my computer! Yay! This summer has already been going by so fast and so much has happened in the Sorensen family already! So here's what we have been up to....
My little sister, Jessica graduated from High School in May! Way to go Jess! Here are some pics

Then...we moved to Mesa and began working on our house. When everything is finished I will post some before and after pictures... I know, you are all so excited!
Let's see what else... We have been having so much fun being so close to family. We have enjoyed having Justin and Aubry over for daily swim parties. Last week Aubry and Justin forgot their swimming suits. All of Nate's were too big for Justin so I let him borrow some of my pink Roxy board shorts. He looked so cute in them! Especially when he added Aubry's yellow sunglasses to the look. Sorry Justin, I had to post these!
Justin and his shorts:)
Aubry chillin on the raft.
Nate workin on his tan!
Over the Fourth of July weekend we went to Greer, AZ for an Alder family reunion. It was so nice up there. I didn't get too many pictures because my camera died after a couple of days, but here is what I have. We really enjoyed the weather, but my feet and ankles did not enjoy the elevation change.
Maggie posing by the stream
Me, my big belly, and my elephant feet
Nate and Clint watching tv
We all drove to Eager to watch the fireworks. My uncle Preston lit a few of his own right in front of our cars before the big show started. Luckily no one went to jail or caught on fire:) Here's Jess and Nate enjoying the show.
Here's Ashlee and Maggie waiting for the fireworks to start
And here are my ugly feet. This is how they looked on the way up the mountain. They got even worse as the weekend progressed. I used to complain about having long skinny feet. Well, it turns out that long fat feet are even more ugly:)
Well, that's the reader's digest version of what we've been up to for the past couple of months. Maybe next time I post, I will have baby pictures:)

I'm alive!
So we made it to Mesa and we have been trying to get settled in. It's been a rough couple of weeks with pretty much everything in our house not working until today:) I finally have internet! Hurray! Too bad I can't find the box with the battery charger for my camera in it. So sorry, no pictures:( Nate started his new job last week at Larson Allen. He is starting to like it more and more. He has decided that accounting is pretty boring though. Who would have thought?:) Ha Ha! Me and baby are doing great. Except for the swollen ankles of course. The heat and elevation drop have really done a number on my poor feet. I had to go buy some flip flops that looked sort of dressy to wear to church last week. (Don't tell my grandpa, he'll shoot me!) I can't believe I only have like 10 weeks left. (Hopefully less!) I have really enjoyed being pregnant and I just can't wait to meet my little girl! Ok, enough of the mushy baby stuff! So now you know what we've been up to...

Is it really over???

Nate graduated! I cannot believe that it is finally over! Hurray! I have a husband again! (Well... at least until tax season rolls around) It was so fun having our family up for the weekend to see Nate graduate. Plus I got to spend mother's day with my mom and grandma, which was really fun:) I just cannot believe that Nate is not in school anymore and that in two more weeks we will not be living in Flagstaff anymore. Seriously, where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday we moved up here and 5 years seemed like an eternity. And now we are moving...having a baby...Nate's starting his career... I guess it just hit me how much our lives are changing. I'm excited to start a new adventure, though. Change is always good. (I hope!)

This is our baby?

So I found this site on Mark and Jae's blog and I thought I'd give it a try. This is supposed to be what our baby will look like. Uh... where did the red hair come from? Not sure. Anyway... guess I should get back to packing ha ha!

Conference Weekend!
I love conference weekend! What's not to like about laying on the couch in your pajamas for two whole days! Well, I didn't get to do that this time because our fun brother and sister-in-law Justin and Aubry came stay with us for a few days. We had a lot of fun shopping and golfing and eating out. Well, Aubry and I didn't golf, but we definitely shopped our little hearts out! I even bought a cute outfit for Sadie! (So far that is the name we have picked out for our little girl:) ) So back to conference... I loved it! I always do, but I felt like the theme this time was "endure to the end," which at first I thought was kind of depressing, but then I got really into it and I really enjoyed everyone's messages. Too bad I was the only one enjoying those messages...
Aubry's fast asleep on the couch and Justin's on the floor snoozing away!
And here's Nate, snoring away!
I was pretty amazed that I stayed awake for the whole thing. I usually fall asleep during the second session on Sunday, but not today! Anyway............ I hope everyone else enjoyed conference as much as I did:)
